Comparison
2Camera is built specifically for simultaneous front-and-back camera recording — and it does that well. If recording with both cameras at the same time is the feature you need right now, 2Camera is worth looking at.
SplitShot takes a different approach. Rather than dual-camera capture, SplitShot focuses on dual-format output — recording a single stream and producing both a 9:16 vertical and a 16:9 landscape version simultaneously. It also includes podcast recording (PodMode), a built-in teleprompter, content planning, and session markers.
Front-and-back simultaneous capture is listed as a feature in development on the SplitShot roadmap and currently appears as a greyed-out option in the app UI — it is not yet available in the live product.

Front-and-back simultaneous capture is in development for SplitShot and not yet available in the live product. Feature availability based on publicly available information at time of writing.
Not yet. Front-and-back simultaneous recording is in development and currently appears as a greyed-out option in the app. It is not available in the live product. If this is your primary need right now, 2Camera is the better choice.
SplitShot produces both 9:16 vertical and 16:9 landscape outputs from a single recording, includes a full podcast recording mode, a built-in teleprompter, session markers, and a content planner. It is designed for a broader creator workflow beyond camera hardware features.
It depends on your use case. If front-and-back capture is what you need today, 2Camera does that now. If you want dual-format outputs, podcast recording, and a creator workflow, SplitShot is the stronger fit.
Free to download. Try dual-output recording and PodMode yourself.
